Must Love Dogs

30 Jan

Back in the summer I was able to meet two wonderful women, both committed to rescuing the abandoned, neglected and forgotten dogs in our area.  They are the mother and daughter duo behind the non-profit, volunteer-based PAWS of Marion dog rescue organization.  In the past few months I have been able to catch a glimpse at the work they do…and just from that glimpse I can tell you that they are 100% COMMITTED!  They work MANY, MANY hours in order to rescue dogs in our area.  And by rescue I mean they get the dogs, take the dogs back and forth to the vet, foster dogs, find foster homes, transport dogs to other rescue agencies, put up pens, deliver medicines, set-up adoptions and so much more!  SO MUCH MORE and it’s ALL VOLUNTEER!  And it ALL COST MONEY!  And it ALL COST TIME!

I am writing because I think there are some people out there that are like me that 1) love dogs and 2) had no idea that there are rescue agencies out there that could use some extra help and 3) there are many ways you can help them out!

6.  Other:  There are many other ways you can help–  adopt, foster, help with fundraisers and spread the word!  If you are interested in helping be sure to check out their WEBSITE and their FACEBOOK.

NEXT FUNDRAISER OPPORTUNITY::  PAWS will be having a Valentine’s Bake Sale fundraiser on Saturday, February 11th from 10AM until sellout at Wal-Mart in West Memphis. I love your white dog series (the green one is my favorite) and I love your enthusiasm to help PAWS help the pups who need it most!
