The wait is over! It’s time for the HUGE GIVEAWAY! All the entries were carefully written out, folded up tightly and thrown into a big bowl for the official random drawing. I took pictures to prove it:

I have been invited to participate in the Norcross Art Fest in historic downtown Norcross, Georgia! I am so pumped about this, y’all!
Norcross Art Fest by Splash Festivals
Friday afternoon I received email titled “Your great artwork” from Frances Schube, one of the founders of Splash Festivals, Inc. <<insert uncontrollable heart racing>> The email was an invitation to be a part of one of the two art festivals that is held yearly. Their events are by invitation only participation, so needless to say I about fainted as I read her email. THIS. ROCKED. MY. WORLD !
My number #1 fan and super supportive husband didn’t think twice before saying “YES, WE’RE GOING!” So, I excitedly accepted the invitation and completed my registration and come October 1 and 2 we’ll be in Georgia and I’ll be surrounded by a 100+ other inspiring artist selling my work to the estimated 50,000 attendants .
As the details for the 2011 event unfold, I’ll keep you up-to-date. For now, I’m off to paint!
I love garland. All kinds of garlands. I love strands of things– strands of lights, strands of garlands, strands of pearls. Sometimes I just think about hanging garlands and strands of lights all over the rooms of my house. I have refrained from doing so, however I do have a few here and there at all times.
Here are just a few of my favorite garlands.
This is a lovely strand of felted garland by The Big Brown House.
Look at these tissue paper pom garlands made by Party Poms.
I love Happy Birthday banners and cardboard so I instantly fell in love with this repurposed garland by Cardboard Sheek.
Oh my! Oh my! Look at this beauty– hand crocheted Flower Dot garland by Anne Marie.
I hope you fell in love and clicked on over to one of these shops and supported these artist. Or maybe you were inspired to think of a way to make some garland yourself. Happy day to you!
